I really think it was our guides who made it such an exceptional trip. They really brought something special to the group and we feel very fortunate to have had them with us.

EXPERIENCE

As professional guides, we have learned the bush through experience, from countless days and nights exploring new country. This is coupled with rigorous, specialized training in approaching dangerous animals on foot, safety, tracking, rifle competency and situation assessment. We don't take on freelancers - rather our guides are long-standing members of our small team and sought-after leaders in the guiding field. If you are heading off into the Serengeti backcountry for a walking safari, you want to know you are with advanced, experienced guides who know and understand big game and the bush!

PASSION FOR THE BUSH

While the tourism industry becomes corporate, our roots have stayed the same: in the bush. We do it because we love it. We don't spend our free time on twitter or making brochures. Rather, we can be found bashing our land rovers through the wilderness to find new special areas to take you. This is what has driven us from the beginning 25 years ago, and what still drives us today. It's always there: a desire to find a new waterhole, explore a new river, plan a new walking route and forever expand our list of wild experiences and areas to take you to.

guiding families

With kids and families in general, the guide is make or break. Instead of driving around all day, we get the kids out and about for eye-opening and educational experiences, not to mention good laughs and fun. We take our own small children to the bush, so we know how to do it. Keep them active, show them tracks, how to spot game and perhaps even how to throw a spear, fire an arrow or dig for tubers with the Hadza. And above all - see a ton of big game and have fun! > Family Safaris

AROUND THE CAMP FIRE

After a big day in the bush, we kick up our feet, enjoy a G&T and a hearty supper. We talk of what we saw that day and plot our route for the next morning. Around the fire, the conversation is lively, with talk of traditional cultures, conservation challenges, and the next wild place to go... We check out the stars overhead, find the southern cross and invariably pause to hear a lion roaring in the distance. And of course... there will be a few tall tales about close calls and wild encounters!
